Gangchen Samling School is an nonprofit English medium Co-educational institution. It was established in the year 2003 A.D with the main theme of “Education for all”. The school aims at providing quality education to the children who are in real need of it. The school was established with object of not only imparting formal education but also practical knowledge to the youngsters. The school seeks quality education for the destitute and unaided children mostly from poor economic background. The objectives of the school are to provide timely and quality education for the children from poor economic background at a considerable tuition fee structure, to inculcate the spirit of Co-operation, self-help morality and discipline, to develop multi-dimensional personality of the children, to provide practical knowledge and skills to the students through the emphasis on vocational subjects that can be of practical use in the course of their future life. Although this school is meant for poor and needy people, its door are open to all irrespective of gender, class, caste, religion or ethnic background. One major feature of the school is that majority of the students enjoy full and partial scholarship offered by national and international donors. Help In Action, an Italian INGO which is helping our school to find one sponsor for one student. Majority of the donors are disciples, friends and associates of His Holiness Lama Gangchen. The school itself has been named in the name of His Holiness Lama Gangchen and the company owned by Mr. T.G Shrestha (Mongolian Honorary Consulate in Kathmandu, Nepal and chairman of Samling Carpet Industries). So far, around one hundred students have already completed the school education from this. Majority of them have secured very good marks comparing to other students of nearby schools. The students who have completed education from this school are doing so well in their further academic journey both within the country and abroad. Right now the school is running from nursery (Pre Primary) to class 10 (Secondary Level) .The students of junior classes are taught by Montessori Method. The students are getting all kinds of facilities such as library, science lab and computer lab which upgrade the standard of the education in a very true sense. A part from these, extracurricular activities have been given top most priority. The students also enjoy different kinds of games such as, badminton, table tennis in the school premises. There are altogether 500 plus students and 41 staffs and in Toddlers Section we have 150 + students and 34 staff (including teaching and non-teaching).
